The Most Precious Thing Is To Dream

Mountain lake and valley beneath stars and clouds

For You – AZU

What lies here are all the answers from the paths you’ve chosen till now

Come on! Have confidence and continue onward

It’s a very natural thing just like the rainbow straddling the the asphalt after rain

(Lonely)  The wind blows

(Feeling)  and I realized

The answer is nowhere but

(Call me) What I understand is, with you love is a thing to be mutually given and shared

For you

Surely you too were meant to soar through this sky no matter how many times you stumble

For you

The one important thing is to dream!

Just don’t let it be your heart that you close off

Even when you were hurt, you held your tears back and endured didn’t you?

I’m closest to that side of you and have come to see it so

Even if you don’t say anything

I understand

The fact that no matter the circumstance, you gave it your all

(Run away) If you’re lost

(Try again) You can try again however many times

( I’m here) I’m by your side

(Believing) Don’t be afraid

The fact that we have faith

For you

Surely, one day even you should be able to fly in this sky

No matter how many times you get hurt

For you

The one important thing is to dream!

Just don’t let it be your eyes that you avert

Look, the courage you drew

has transformed into an irreplaceable treasure

Now stretch you arms and fly high

Surely you were meant to soar through this sky as well no matter how many times you stumble

For you

The one important thing is to dream!

Just don’t close your heart off

One time for my Naruto fans (iykyk)! Honestly, a lot of anime have such good music with lyrics that can be quite heartfelt and reflective, so there will certainly be more to come here, hehe. But to get on topic: this song is always such a warm, resonant, yet refreshing and encouraging place to rest. I think in the times we live in—and really at any age, and in many of the societies we occupy—we can easily receive direct and indirect messaging that causes us to veer away from the lifeline of our identities: our dreams and desires. But this song and I are here to challenge you to not shrink away from the “silly” or scary if it is truly what your soul is desperately reaching out and yearning for. During the dark nights that seem insurmountable, when you start to doubt if your hopes are possible, or when the voices of others get louder, take the time and space to breathe. Then check in again with the nudging of your soul. Continue in the direction of its whispers. AZU said it best: no matter how many times you get hurt or stumble, “Surely you were meant to soar through this sky.”

Keep goin’. Keep dreamin’.
